On Sunday, February 7, we will hold our Annual Meeting after the 10 o’clock service. We will receive reports, elect new officers and committee members, and vote on a budget for 2010. The service will be slightly abbreviated so we can begin the meeting between 10:45 and 11. One of the blessings of our polity (system of church government) is that the members of the congregation make important decisions rather than having them imposed by a hierarchy. A few years ago, a visitor whose church background was from another denomination was very impressed that the congregation had the power to govern itself. We hope you do not take such a privilege for granted and will participate in our Annual Meeting.
